Training Courses

We operate a significantly different model to most photographic training companies. We don't have a published course schedule, nor do we look to fill a classroom full of students. We operate a tailored personal instruction method for individuals, that looks at their needs and agrees the priority areas to cover over a period of time. A mixture of theory and practical work in the studio and on-location practical experience is used.

That said many of our clients have common needs, and there are of course some fundamental theories and skills which can dramatically improve a photographers work and enjoyment of their hobby.

The following are subject areas we cover on a frequent basis;
- Understanding your DSLR/Camera
- Use of different types of lenses
- Basic photographic skills (composition, focus, depth of field, light)
- Managing your digital images
- Basic photoshop tuition / RAW processing
- Review of current equipment owned vs needs

More in-depth tuition can take place around specific types of photography if already or when the photographer has confidence in their basic skills. We can offer tuition around;
- Macro photography
- Getting the best photographs in zoos, and wildlife centres
- Getting good sports images of your children and friends

- Preparing your images for print or competitions and printing at home
